The college sports department was established in the year 1961. The entire Sports Complex isspread in an area of 4 Acres. The College team participated in various games like Chess,Football, Badminton, Table Tennis, Hand ball, Cross-Country, Volleyball, Cricket, and Annual Athletic Meet. The college also organize Inter College tournament of Ch. Ranbir Singh University.

Government College Jind is one of the leading Colleges amongst colleges in providing facilities to its sports persons and financial incentives to outstanding sports persons for winning Medals at Inter College/North Zone/All India Inter University Tournaments.

Cash award/incentive is given to the player if he/she is

(i)   Player at International level: 15000/- Per Annual.

(ii)  Player at National level/Inter University level: 1st 7000/-PA, 2nd 6000/-PA, 3rd 5000/-PA

(iii) Player at State level/Inter College State level: 1st 3000/-PA, 2nd 2000/-PA, 3rd 1000/-PA

(iv) Annual Athletic Meet 1st 500/-Per Event. 2nd 300/-PE., 3rd 200/-PE  Best Athlete=1500/-

D.A. to Players

D.A. @ Rs. 100/- per head per day during the days Tournaments held from the radius of 20 km from the college campus and Refreshment @ Rs. 25/- per head per match for team games and Rs. 15/- per head per event for individual games is given to the players during the Inter College Tournaments.

Playing Kit

One Playing kit (good quality) is given to all the members of the College teams participating in Inter College Tournaments.


Standard equipment are provided to the players during the coaching camp and Inter College Tournaments.
